I’ve always loved fashion, which was slightly at odds with my early career as a lawyer. When our boys came along I wanted a change of direction, so left the law and moved to the beautiful Kent countryside. Fast forward to 2016 and on a rainy dog walk I switched suits for sequins and sundresses and Bricks & Stitches was born.
It’s probably true to say my business evolved by accident rather than design as I took my tentative first steps into the world of fashion and lifestyle blogging. I began my Instagram page anonymously, but my confidence started to grow as did my realisation that there was a market for women like me looking for quality, affordable, flattering pieces. I set up my online shop in 2017 and have never looked back.
I have learnt so much and made so many friends and new connections. Most of all I am having so much fun finding clothes and accessories that my customers and I love.
