Sequins
Sequins are synonymous with NYE – they bring instant cheer and elevate any outfit.
Here at Bricks & Stitches we can’t resist a bit of sparkle, and I think we’ve found the perfect pieces for the festive period this year.

Nothing says New Year’s Eve like a silver sequin mini dress. This beautiful sequin number is timeless and chic – but with a fun addition of balloon sleeves and flattering v-neckline for some added drama.
How to style
Style with black tights, and knee-high boots – or brave the cold and go bare legged with some strappy heels. If the latter, you might want to pair it with a fur coat though!

For shoes, I’m a firm believer than knee high boots go with anything. Ankle boots are also a great alternative.
And for a coat – a black belted coat would go perfectly here. The longer the better so that the sequins just peep out when you’re walking.
Velvet
Like sequins, velvet goes hand in hand with NYE to bring that extra bit of luxury. Not only that, but it’s so versatile to wear. Here are our favourite velvet pieces and how to style.
