With Mothers Day fast approaching I thought I would put together a few ideas in case you are in need of gift inspiration for your mum, your mother in law or even yourself! There is never any harm in dropping a few not so subtle hints to the children in the hope that they get relayed back to Daddy!

It’s an eclectic list in no particular order so please bear with me… hopefully you will find something you like.

1. The Smart School of Cookery – half day Macaroon Course £99.00 per person

I recently attended one of these courses with a friend and loved every minute it. We learnt how to make delicious macaroons from start to finish which is something I had been wanting to do for a while. They have a number of different locations, London, Essex, Bray etc so there is a choice of venues and dates. You could either buy a voucher or it is a lovely thing to do together with your mum. Keep an eye out for Groupon offers as I know they do them occasionally and I’ve seen them for as little as £36.00 per person.

2. Farmison & Co Full English Breakfast Family Box delivered to your door £29.95

I have a Hello Fresh Box delivered most weeks and think its great. I recently however came across Farmison & Co via a wonderful friend of mine and thought it would be a fab idea for Mother’s Day. I am usually the one cooking all of my boys bacon sandwiches on a Sunday morning but if this box conveniently lands on the door step they might get the hint that its their turn?! I also thought that the box for two might be a nice thing to send up to my amazing mum who still spends her life cooking for others… although I’m not sure if my wonderful Pop would be capable of putting it in the Aga without incinerating the lot!! The boxes are delivered on a day of your choice between Tuesday and Saturday.

3. Maria Tash Piercing at Liberty from £15 (excluding jewellery!)

As you may have guessed an appointment at Maria Tash is one that I might be dropping hints for. I don’t think my mother would be hugely appreciative! Some of the earrings are absolutely gorgeous, but be warned, they are not the cheapest.

4. Fraser and Parsley Self Inking Address Stamp £32.00

If you haven’t already come across the Fraser and Parsley website you absolutely MUST take a look. There is nothing I don’t love. It was hard to decide what to choose for this post as I really could buy anything for my mum (or myself for that matter) from this website. In fact, I have already bought the address stamp, greeting cards, phone cover, gift tags, notecards and gift wrapping stamp, all of which are personalised and totally gorgeous.

5. Freddie’s Flowers Weekly Delivery £20 per week

Sign yourself or your mum up for a weekly delivery of fresh flowers for only £20 per week. The beauty of this service is that it is delivered to your door and it’s easy to skip weeks if you are away. If you go to the website you can see what to expect each week. I tend to leave it as a surprise as I’m not usually organised enough to check! I signed up a few months ago and love the variety of different flowers that are delivered. They are so fresh they last for ages.

6. Quill London Beginners Modern Calligraphy Course £60

I have been desperate to do a course like this for ages as I would dearly love to have beautiful handwriting! I recently came across Quill London and am definitely going to get myself booked on to a course, as soon as there is one that doesn’t sell out immediately! Gift vouchers for this could be a great gift for your mum or a lovely thing to do together.

7. GiftPop Boutique Belly Basket £20 (small) £25 (large)

These aren’t on the website yet but are available to pre-order. I was after one of these last year but missed out as they flew off the shelf.  I have already put my name down so I don’t miss out again. I know that my mum would love one and would find it really useful for storage.

8. Charlotte Tilbury Lipstick £24

Any mum would be thrilled with one of these lipsticks. My favourite colour is Lost Cherry, a gorgeous matt pink. The colour range is fantastic so something to suit everyone. They are a great price, feel so lovely on and very easy to pop in the post if your mum, like mine, doesn’t live locally.

9. Small Handmade Chunky Knit Blanket £45

These amazingly gorgeous handmade blankets are everywhere at the moment and aren’t they fab. I saw the most enormous one on a display in Selfridges the other day and thanks to some of my lovely Instagram followers I tracked down where you can buy them from. I am in total awe of the very clever Clare Potts from who makes them! They are handmade to order and so come in a range of sizes and colours. A gorgeous gift idea for Mother’s Day and still time to order. I am saving up for a super king blanket for our new bed.

10. Bricks and Stitches Belt £36

And last but most certainly not least, it would have been a missed opportunity not to include my belts!! Sorry for the shameless plug but they are fab, in loads of different colours and a great price. I’ve already had a few people ordering them so they can self gift!

Have a wonderful Mothers Day what ever you get up to… I hope you are truly spoilt. Being a mummy is a total privilege and an amazing job, but hard at times and mustn’t be underestimated. I think we are therefore justified in celebrating our hard work and achievement.
